Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you (the business that creates a Clokr account) and Clokr. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

Clokr provides time tracking, scheduling, and related tools for teams with hourly staff. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data your business enters and for how your business uses the service.

Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including what managers and employees you invite do in it.
• You must be authorized to act for the business you sign up.

Plans and billing

• The Free plan is free. Paid plans are billed monthly, per location, at the prices shown on the pricing page.
• Billing starts the day you subscribe and repeats monthly. Adding a location raises the next monthly charge; removing one lowers it.
• You can cancel any time. Your plan drops to Free at cancellation and no further charges are made. Amounts already charged are not automatically refunded, but you can contact support about a charge you believe is wrong.
• If a payment fails, we'll email you and hold your plan for a short grace period. If it still can't be collected, your account moves to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted.
• Prices may change; we'll notify you by email before a price change affects you.

Your responsibilities as an employer

Clokr is a tool, not a law firm or payroll provider. You are responsible for complying with the employment laws that apply to your business — including wage and hour rules, overtime, breaks, and any rules about collecting employee location or photos. Time and pay figures Clokr shows are calculated from the data in your account and should be reviewed before being used for payroll.

Your data

Your business owns the data it enters. We process it only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export your records at any time from the admin screens.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unauthorized access, no interfering with its operation, no using it to violate the law or others' rights, and no reselling it without our written permission.

Service and liability

• We work to keep Clokr available and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is" — we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
• To the fullest extent the law allows, Clokr's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months before the claim.
• We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to these terms

If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we'll notify account owners by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clokr after that means you accept the updated terms.
